Face B,
Services
services
For several years, FACE B has been creating artistic projects closely linked to urbanism and cultural mediation. To do so, we deploy a wide range of skills which enable us to follow all the steps of the production of a project, from its conception to its realisation.
We constantly adapt our methodology to the specificity of each mission, to its goals and the expectations of the partner institutions with whom we collaborate.
Through the years, we also created a network we are used to work with that we do not hesitate to contact if needed for a project.
The coordination and the production of a project requires a high degree of organisation and a cross-functional management of different activities:
- Team management and coordination.
- Connecting and monitoring public and private partners.
- Communication strategy and public relation.
- Administrative aspects: contracts, insurance, copyright, etc.
- Logistics: planning, follow-up with service providers, authorisations, catering, merchandising, signage, scenography, rentals and purchases, red cross, security and guarding, etc.
- Financial aspects: setting up files, budget management, payments, accounting, invoicing, writing activity reports, etc.
One recent example of us putting this expertise to work is for the System D Film Festival that took place in January 2024.
Cultural mediation is at the heart of our actions and allows us to rethink our way of relating to the public. Through more or less extensive co-creation processes, we want to engage new audiences and make them full-fledged actors in our projects and not just spectators.
To do so, we develop a series of tools and methods:
- Mapping and studying the associative scene, potential relay points and partners.
- Identification and development of audiences.
- Creation of mediation devices (e.g. Hors les muren, Des Blocs, Collection Collective, etc.).
- Sharing of experience and good practice.
A telling example of us putting this expertise into practice is the exhibition Tell All the Truth But Tell It Slant for Ohme in 2022.
FACE B regularly accompanies people in the creative sector through individual or collective trainings. We offer three types of training:
- How to turn your idea into a project?
- Which financial strategy to adopt for your project?
- How to insure a good management of your project?
The art direction of our projects can take various forms:
- Research and development on societal topics or on artistic practices.
- Selection of artists and their work.
- Commissioning of in situ creations.
- Curation and programming.
Cross-disciplinary expertise in our projects, the Sablon is a striking example.
