hors les murs

Hors les murs is a program of public space artworks and artistic co-creation with marginalized communities, running until 2028 across various neighborhoods of the capital.
In meeting with its residents and communities, the city will be at the heart of the celebrations. Workshops, residencies, conferences, exhibitions… Sound, shapes, voices, sensations.
Because walls are meant to be questioned, outwitted, and overcome.

Which role does our heritage play in the construction of our identity?
In MURSMURS, eclectic voices and pathways intertwine to shape the contours of a collective, fabricated story. They take us deep into what feels innate: our relationship with home, with belonging, the independence it offers or the confinement it imposes, what we inherit from those who make it home, and what we pass on to them.
MURSMURS is a mosaic of private spaces blending into a shared public space, offering a new perspective on intimacy and community.
The audio capsules can be listened to here.
This project is supported by the Federation Wallonia-Brussels and the Higher Council for Media Education (CSEM).

Where is the margin located?

What do we have in common?
