Internship in communication (M/F/X)

ABOUT US

FACE B is a non-profit organization that carries out projects involving art, urban planning and cultural mediation. From carrying out our own projects to supporting other cultural institutions, we are looking for a communications intern from January 2025 (flexible duration and start date, min 3 months).

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of our activities in 2025, we are looking for a trainee with a passion for communication and content creation in the cultural and artistic sector. 

The intern will assist us in creating a communication strategy for each project and for our organization as a whole. To do this, he/she will be asked to come up with graphic identities for our networks (Facebook and Instagram) as well as working on the creation of other original media (posters, images for podcasts, etc.). He/she will then assist with the digital communication of our projects.

1/ Communication:

  • Designing content for social networks (using Figma, Indesign, Photoshop, Canva, Capcut, etc). 
  • Participating in the development of the content strategy for social networks (Instagram and Facebook). 
  • Proposing innovative systems and formats adapted to new uses.
  • Setting up an editorial calendar around the highlights of the year.
  • Promoting social networks.
  • Updating the website. 
  • Translating FR/NL and EN/NL.

PROFILE 

  • You speak French AND at least Dutch or English (ideally all 3). 
  • You are an art, communication or graphic design student, or have relevant experience. 
  • You are creative, proactive, flexible, autonomous and organized.
  • You have excellent written communication skills.
  • You are familiar with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • You are familiar with Adobe tools (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator). 
  • You are comfortable using Google Drive.
  • You are passionate about participative cultural practices.

Internship in project management and cultural mediation (M/F/X)

THE ENTERPRISE

FACE B is a non-profit organization that carries out projects involving art, urban planning and cultural mediation. From carrying out our own projects to supporting other cultural institutions, we are looking for a trainee in project management and cultural mediation from January 2025 (flexible duration and start date, minimum 3 months).

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of our activities in 2024, we are looking for an intern with passion for culture, cultural mediation, human contact, the organization of various cultural events and the overall development of a project through all the stages from consultation to implementation.

The intern will be assisting us with two of our projects: 

  • Hors les murs: a programme of participatory artistic and cultural activities in several areas of Brussels, with different phases of implementation (research/action/dissemination). 
  • Techniciennes: a programme of activities aimed at raising the profile of women and gender minorities working in technical occupations in culture. 

Tasks include: 

1/ Project management: 

  • Creation and layout of files.
  • Preparing applications for subsidies and partners from institutions responsible for supporting cultural initiatives. 
  • Assisting with the production and coordination of a project.
  • Assistance in setting up cultural mediation activities.
  • Assisting with the coordination of an event, teams, administrative and logistical tasks.

2/ Communications support (if the intern is comfortable with these tasks = bonus):

  • Helping to develop the content strategy for social networks (Instagram and Facebook). 
  • Propose innovative devices and formats adapted to new uses.
  • Setting up an editorial calendar around the highlights of the year.
  • Designing content for social networks (using Figma, Indesign, Photoshop, Canva, etc). 
  • Promoting social networks.
  • Updating the website. 
  • Translations FR/NL and EN/NL.

PROFILE REQUIRED 

  • You speak French AND at least Dutch or English (ideally all 3). 
  • You are a student in communications, cultural management, cultural mediation, management, political science or law, or have relevant experience in this field. 
  • You are creative, proactive, flexible, autonomous and organised.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are familiar with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • You have already used Adobe tools (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • You are comfortable using Google Drive.
  • You are passionate about participative cultural practices.
